EPUB Toolset
About EPUB Toolset
EPUB Toolset is a focused browser workspace for opening and changing DRM-free EPUB files without uploading the book.
EPUB Toolset is built around a simple idea: many ebook tasks should not require a large desktop application or a server upload. The site provides focused tools for reading publication structure, correcting metadata and covers, and extracting chapters into portable formats. The local-processing boundary, security decisions, and compatibility limits are documented because EPUB files contain web content and should be handled carefully.
Maintainer notes
The project is maintained as a transparent EPUB utility. Priorities are safe local processing, non-destructive changes, accessible controls, and honest support boundaries.
Current limits
The first release focuses on common reflowable EPUB 2 and EPUB 3 files. It does not remove DRM, provide cloud storage, or replace formal publishing validation and full desktop editors.
Roadmap
Future work will expand validation and EPUB creation only after the shared parser, viewer, editors, and extraction workflows are stable across a practical test corpus.
