Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
These Terms govern your use of EPUB Toolset at epubtoolset.com.
Acceptance
By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Service Description
EPUB Toolset provides browser-based tools and educational content for viewing, inspecting, editing, extracting, creating, and checking EPUB files. Available features and support boundaries may change as the project develops.
The core file workflow is designed to run locally in the browser. Normal website, hosting, security, and analytics requests may still occur as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your Files And Rights
You are responsible for the EPUB files and content you process. Only use files you own or have permission to view, modify, extract, or reproduce. EPUB Toolset does not grant rights to copyrighted ebook content.
The service does not remove or bypass digital rights management. DRM-protected files are not supported.
Output And Original Files
Editing and conversion tools create new downloadable files and do not intentionally overwrite the original file on your device. You are responsible for reviewing output and keeping appropriate backups.
Compatibility Limits
EPUB publications can vary in version, structure, markup, styling, scripting, media, encryption, and vendor-specific behavior. We do not guarantee that every EPUB will render identically in every reading system or that every package can be processed successfully.
Browser-based checks do not replace the official EPUBCheck tool or the submission requirements of Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play Books, or another distributor. Always perform the validation and review required by your target platform.
Security Boundaries
EPUB content is treated as untrusted. The service may block scripts, remote resources, unsafe URLs, unsupported markup, or unusually large archives. These controls can change how a publication appears but help protect the browser and user privacy.
Acceptable Use
Do not use the service unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass security controls, or process content in a way that infringes another person's rights.
Intellectual Property
You retain applicable rights to your own files and output. The site's branding, design, code, and original content are protected by applicable laws and licenses.
Availability And Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." Features may be updated, suspended, or discontinued. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and liability for lost data, incompatible output, publication rejection, or indirect damages arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
